Oaklands College is a large further education college in Hertfordshire, with campuses in St Albans, Welwyn Garden City and a training provision in Borehamwood. 

The college provides fantastic learning facilities for students studying a wide range of courses, from Engineering to Electrical Installation, A Levels to Agriculture, Plumbing to Photography, Oaklands College is proud to successfully provide for over 5,000 students and look forward to welcoming you this September. 

Courses for everyone

There are a comprehensive selection of full and part-time courses, offered to both sixteen to eighteen-year-old students and adult learners who come from a wide variety of regions. Courses range from vocational courses with strong links to employers through to elite sports, the arts and a wide variety of A Levels, amongst others. Oaklands College are also nationally recognised for their OFSTED Outstanding provision for learners with mild and severe learning difficulties.

A campus for the future

Oaklands College is going through an impressive £62 million redevelopment of its St Albans campus. The four-phase redevelopment has already seen the opening of the Residential Homestead in July 2020 and a new 49 classroom teaching block, The Evolution Centre, which opened to students in October 2021. The third phase, a state-of-the-art Construction Centre is currently being scoped, with the College seeking input and advice from the construction sector to ensure that facilities and courses meet their skills and training requirements of the future.
