A night at the theatre

Watford Palace Theatre opened in 1908 and has been showing fantastic entertainment for over 100 years. The theatre is inside a beautiful Edwardian Grade II listed building and there are 600 comfortable seats. Watford Palace Theatre had a major refurbishment a few years ago and it houses its own rehearsal room, wardrobe, cafe and bar. The theatre calendar is full throughout the year.

About Watford Palace

The theatre hosts great stories that entertain, provoke and inspire. Everyone’s welcome at the Palace.  They aim to inspire and entertain through inventive, ambitious and inclusive drama, new plays, musicals, comedy etc with an aim to reflect our diverse communities, fully represent women, both onstage and behind the scenes. The theatre celebrate and develop creativity and skill in the community and for young people. They are proud that locally produced shows and home grown talent have toured nationally and internationally, been seen on BBC iPlayer, won awards and transferred to the West End.

Why not take part at Watford Palace Theatre? This involves the theatre doing work where you can take centre stage. Their broad programme of work involves young people, teachers, schools, adults, community groups and artists in Watford and Hertfordshire. Currently being developed is digital activity to engage with the community too.
