Haileybury Turnford is a co-educational secondary school and sixth form located in Turnford. Turnford School converted to academy status in 2015 and was renamed Haileybury Turnford. The school is now sponsored by Haileybury and Imperial Service College which is an independent school in Hertford.

Haileybury Turnford want the school to be a vibrant and develop every aspect of all the students. The school make sure that each student has the opportunity to reach their full potential. The school wants children to leave with the qualifications, skills and qualities they need for a successful life. Haileybury has had 150 years of outstanding achievement, combine that with Turnford’s strong sense of community and an exceptional school was created. The school believe that excellent teaching, academic success, the best pastoral care and enriching co-curricular opportunities are hallmarks of an excellent school. They want the students to thrive, flourish and succeed.


The school are ambitious for the students to do well and the curriculum is designed to provide all students with an education that is broad, balanced, relevant and personalised. Haileybury Academy Trust

Haileybury Academy Trust is an academy trust sponsored by Haileybury, the leading co-educational boarding school, and is responsible for Haileybury Turnford.  The Trust is responsible for all aspects of Haileybury Turnford and sets the strategic vision for the school, ensuring the school meets the needs of its students and that there is excellence in all areas of school life, as well as financial security.

Sixth Form

Haileybury Turnford is a ‘sixth form for everyone’ with A Level, vocational and GCSE courses available. There is individualised support for students who wish to apply for the most competitive universities, including Oxford and Cambridge, for apprenticeships or for employment at the end of their time in the sixth form.
