The White Horse is an independent gastro pub set in an 18th century building nestled between the pretty cottages of Welwyn Village. The White Horse is a relaxed and casual drinking and dining environment with tasty food served 7 days a week. They offer a fantastic range of drinks and excel in wines, gins and real ales. You can cosy up by the fireplace in winter months and soak up some sun in the beautiful pub garden in summer months. The White Horse has a 55″ HD TV showing Sky Sports & BT Sport events. There is a beautiful, contemporary-meets-traditional restaurant space for dining, which is also available for private hire, weddings and birthday celebrations. The menu is all about great Grilled Dishes, Pub Classics & Sharing Dishes. On Sundays The White Horse serves a great Roast with a selection of meat options, available alongside the main menu. The drinks menu ranges from world & craft lagers, to a notable wine list and an outstanding gin selection. They are also proud to be accredited by Cask Marque for their 5 Cask-conditioned Real Ales. The White Horse always recommend booking a table, but will always do their best to accommodate you on those spontaneous visits during busy times.

Welwyn Village

Old Welwyn is just off the A1(M) at Junction 6, close to Welwyn Garden City, St Albans, Stevenage and Hertford, and a stones-throw from London if you’re looking escape the hustle and bustle of the city.
