With 700 years of fascinating history, there’s a palpable sense of heritage at the heart of Ashridge House. Originally a monastery, it became a royal residence for both Henry VIII and Elizabeth I. It has been a private house for long periods, as well as a military hospital during both World Wars. It has also been a ladies’ finishing school and is now, of course, a world-class venue steeped in wonderful history.

Ashridge House offers superb rest and relaxation facilities to refresh mind, body and soul. With a swimming pool, sauna, steam room and hot tub, as well as a well equipped gym and squash courts. Outside, you’ll find tennis courts, croquet lawn, scenic running and biking trails through the 190 acre grounds, plus a pitch and putt course.
