Sopwell House is home to Cottonmill, the UK's first private members' spa. The spa is vibrant with cutting edge fitness and treatments. If you are staying at the hotel you will receive complimentary access to Cottonmill Spa. Rooms in the mansion

A historic home with over 300 years of history, the main building at Sopwell House is home to 112 guest rooms including family and balcony suites. All rooms have use of the Cottonmill facilities including a 14.5 metre swimming pool, two vitality pools, sauna and steam room.

Mews Suites

Separate from the main hotel, access to the exclusive Mews Suites is through private gates and set within beautifully landscaped gardens created by RHS Chelsea and Hampton Court Palace Flower Show Gold award winner, Ann-Marie Powell. The suites offer guests a choice of individually designed rooms and cottages. Some suites include feature fireplaces, four-poster beds, in-room baths, private terraces, cedar wood spa baths and self sufficient high end kitchenettes. Mews guests can relax and unwind in the exclusive communal garden area and soak away in the Hydro Pool. Mews Suites sleep two adults however some suites can sleep up to 3 adults, please enquire before booking if you require a room for more than 2 guests.

Restaurant

As proud winners of the Open Table Diner’s choice award 2018 & 2019 and 2 AA Rosettes, the restaurant at Sopwell provides an exceptional dining experience in the heart of Mansion House including a feature wine wall and grand piano.

Afternoon Tea

The popular afternoon tea features a beautiful tiered stand complete with delicious delicacies and pastries baked by wonderful chefs. Homemade fruit and plain scones with Devonshire clotted cream and Strawberry preserve and traditional finger sandwiches will await you. You can even top it off with a refreshing glass of Champagne as well as enjoy your choice of luxury Newby loose leaf tea or coffee. Served in the 2 AA Rosette restaurant or in the cocktail lounge, afternoon tea at Sopwell House is the perfect indulgent experience to share with friends, family or colleagues. Speciality and themed afternoon teas are also often available throughout the year including Valentine’s Day, Mother’s Day and Christmas.
