Set in beautiful surroundings
Elstree View Care Home offers first-class residential care, personalised dementia care and assisted living. The home also provides respite care if your loved one is recovering after a hospital stay or needs a break from everyday routine. Elstree View Care Home is a highly recommended care home, offering the highest standards of care, delivered by a team of friendly, highly skilled and caring professionals.
Elstree View know that small things really make a difference like personalising your room or being able to have your favourite meal in the dining room can mean a great deal. That’s why the staff work with you and your loved ones to provide a unique tailor made care plan for you. An example of this is the wonderful and exciting new menu to reflect the Jewish history and culture of the Elstree View community. The care home is also a pet friendly home so you can bring your four legged friend as well.
Mind, Body and Soul Activities
It’s also important to stay active, both mentally and physically. The dedicated activities and events coordinator works hard to create a varied schedule of events, entertainment, trips and outings each week. Bridge, Scrabble, film clubs, gardening, trips to museums, shopping centres or other places of interest are all typical of the events you’ll find at the home. It’s entirely up to you how you spend your time and how many activities you choose to join. So whether you’re a social butterfly or more reserved, you’ll never be short of ways to pass your time enjoyably at this beautiful care home.
Bridge Club is every Thursday at 3pm. Sharpen your skills or learn how to play. The session is led by an experienced Bridge Tutor, Steve Lipman. Single player or pair, just turn up, there's free parking and free tea, coffee and biscuits.
Shabbat at Elstree View
Shabbat is every Friday at 5pm. During the autumn and winter months the Shabbat Service is led by a group of Volunteers from The Liberal Synagogue Elstree. During the spring and summer months the Shabbat service is led by Rabbi Hoch from Chabad of Borehamwood and Elstree. As much as Shabbat may be an opportunity for families to spend time together, it is also a chance to enjoy the company of extended family and community in a relaxed homely atmosphere.
On the first and third of every month from 10.30am - 12.30pm the care home has a Memory Cafe. This gives people living with memory loss or dementia, and their carers, the opportunity to meet regularly with other people in similar situations. Whether you are someone who has been diagnosed with the early stages of memory loss or you are caring for someone with memory loss, the Memory Café has been created to help you. The Memory cafe includes exercises, arts and musical therapy.
