This care home is outstanding and has 67 apartments that are dedicated to Nursing Care, Assisted Living with also a Dementia Community that has 18 suites all on the same floor. This spacious home is set over an impressive 5 floors that allows comfort and plenty of room for all residents. Bentley House allocate a minimum ratio of 1 carer to 5 residents in the Assisted Living environments and 1 carer to 3 residents in its Dementia communities. The number of carers on duty is determined by the residents’ individual needs. Bentley House is ideally located close to Hertford town centre within easy reach of shopping and entertainment.

Quality Care 

Each resident receives personal care that is recorded using person centred mobile care technology. As well as this, Bentley House allocate the appropriate level of staffing to each area of the building at the right time of day or night. Residents have the full reassurance that the call bell system is linked to the mobile care system which ensures staff are always on hand when needed. The resident care is overseen by highly trained Care Managers and Nurses who also provide guidance to the care teams. The care home's service is fully compliant with all the correct and approved regulations. All Signature staff are trained to the highest which include Care Certificate Standards, Clinical Skills for CPD and revalidation and all new to social care employees complete a Level 2 Health and Social Care Qualification. Most importantly the staff are friendly, experienced and completely dedicated to providing the best care for all residents.

Dedicated Team

Bentley House in Hertford has a dedicated catering team who serve main meals in the restaurant. They have a housekeeping team who are responsible for the cleanliness of the home. Their is a dedicated activities team who are responsible for arranging in-house events and organising excursions using the home's minibus. Their is also a reception area which is operated twelve hours a day which ensures all visitors receive a warm welcome and are registered in and out of the home.

The cafe offers a wide range of coffees and teas as well as juices and water. Peg's cafe also has a variety of cakes, fruit, biscuits, and various other treats that are all complimentary.

The Lounge

Bentley House's luxury lounge has a stunning interior and beautiful grand furniture. The lounge offers residents a comfortable, relaxing and stimulating area to relax and unwind. The lounge is also a great place for visiting families to spend time with their loved ones.

The Garden

Bentley House has a lovely, charming and spacious patio area. The raised flower beds line the beautifully enclosed private garden. There is always Garden furniture available when residents want to spend time outside. A lovely barbecue area is perfect for Summer al fresco dining.

The Spa

The Spa has three luxurious spa baths making it the perfect place to soak, relax and unwind. Located ideally next to the beauty salon and hairdressers a perfect location to treat your loved one.    

Activity Room

The Activities Room is one of the most popular areas at Bentley House Care Home. The Activities Room is host to cooking lessons, art classes, and so many more activities. Bentley House has an elegantly designed private dining area. This area is perfect for birthday celebrations or other special occasions. Bentley House has the perfect cinema which is comfortable and luxurious with a superb surround system. This very popular area with residents is a lovely place to relax and watch a classic film.

The Therapy Room is designed for all residents to receive physiotherapy or any other treatments suggested by their GP or as part of their care plan.

Bentley House has a beauty salon offering hairdressing, manicures and many other pampering options. This is all arranged with professional hairdressers and beauticians. A perfect gift for a loved one. 

The Lobby

Visitors are always warmly greeted in the spacious lobby. The receptionists help with any questions or requests or help visitors when visiting their loved ones. 

Activities

Life is never dull at Bentley House. The home has a large activities team who provide visiting speakers, trips out, one to ones and activities which are chosen by the resident committee. The activities are 7 days a week from 10 am and last all day. Residents pick and choose which activities they wish to do and residents can do as much or as little as they want. Other activities include family visits, bingo, exercise sessions, board games, poetry reading, afternoon tea, virtual calls, quizzes, general knowledge quizzes, giant crosswords, cinema, art sessions, sing alongs, ball games, hand and nail care plus much, much more. Studio Apartments

The Bentley House studio apartments are open plan. They feature a bedroom area, living area and en-suite wetroom. Most of studio apartments offer a kitchenette and balcony or patio access in most cases. All studio apartments are light and airy and have a private telephone line as well as mobility and safety features. 

One Bedroom Apartments

The one bedroom apartments offer a great deal of flexibility and are perfect for longer stays. Most of the one bedroom apartments have a kitchenette which is available in the living area and every one features an en-suite wetroom. Balcony or patio access is available in many apartments and all apartments offer a private telephone line as well as mobility and safety features.

One Bedroom Deluxe Apartments

Bentley House One Bedroom Deluxe Apartments offer all of the features of the one-bedroom apartments, including a separate living room and bedroom, an en-suite wetroom and private telephone line. These are more spacious and are perfect for couples or individuals who require more space for furniture and belongings. They are also perfect for longer stays.

Dementia Care 

Bentley House also offers a separate dementia care area. This area has been designed in collaboration with research and ensures that the environment is as dementia friendly as it could be.  Comfortable, open plan naturally lit and staffed by our specially trained dementia nursing team, it offers unique support for those residents requiring specialist dementia care.
