The home has qualified and friendly wellbeing coordinators who plan regular activities, outings and events. Riverside Place care home is set in a beautiful location which is walking distance to the centre of Ware town near pubs, cafes and shops. The home was built to the latest care standards and living at Riverside Place is about luxury, comfort and choice. You will be impressed by Riverside Place's light, space and quality of the home. There are many different lovely spaces to relax such as the bistro and orangery on the ground floor, to the quiet lounges around the home. Riverside Place also has an exceptional hair salon which is open regularly for beauty treatments and pampering sessions. All the 72 bedrooms at Riverside Place are beautifully furnished and have en-suite facilities. Residents are always encouraged to decorate their rooms with treasured items, pictures and pieces of furniture if they want to.

Activities

Riverside Place care home offers a great range of fun activities by an experience co ordinating team. This ranges from gentle exercise classes, art sessions, getting close to exotic animals and competitive quizzes to name a few. Music and singing are always popular with residents and there are regular visits from local singers, dancers and musicians. Volunteers of all ages like to help with activities or simply spend time chatting one-to-one with residents. Residents with green fingers can help in the gardens and outdoor spaces too to make the surrounding look even more beautiful. Riverside Place care home also encourages residents to set up activities or groups which they can even lead if they wish. National events are a favourite too with parties to celebrate whether it's Burns Night, a royal wedding, Halloween or Christmas. Riverside Place care home offers superb hospitality and the chef and his team create delicious daily menus with plenty of choice. There are beautiful dining rooms with small tables set out as if in a restaurant. Each table has crisp table linen and shining glassware. There are some beautiful wines and residents are free to eat in their room if they prefer. Also, if residents feel peckish between meals there are always snacks and drinks available. The Riverside Place head chef works closely with the clinical and care teams and is kept informed of residents’ nutritional needs. The home can cater for specialist dietary needs, including soft and fortified diets. The Riverside Place menus change regularly and include a variety of hot and cold dishes. The home also welcomes suggestions into the menu.

Residential Care

Nursing Care

Riverside Place provide nursing care for individuals with specialist requirements. The nursing care team are fully qualified and have the specialist expertise required to care for residents’ varying medical needs and requirements. People who go to the home may be living with conditions such as Parkinson’s Disease, Multiple Sclerosis or Motor Neurone Disease, others may have suffered a brain injury as a result of an accident, or require ventilator care.
