    First came across this pub on the Hertfordshire Online website. This fabulous country pub and restaurant is in the middle of nowhere and serves great food and has an amazing atmosphere. Very good value. Well worth the drive out to enjoy this experience.

    Having to put Mum in a care home was one of the hardest things I have had to do in my life and it was Mum's worst fear of all to be put in a home. We looked together on Hertfordshire Online and found the perfect home. Many a time she has said she would take an overdose before she entered a home. After reviewing the reports of the home and several visits, my sister and I made the decision that this was the best option. The initial days were hard but we were given all the confidence and support which was extremely helpful. I visit the home regularly and attend open days and can say that she is in a very well organised, safe clean place which she now seems to accept and is happy to be there. Alzheimer's is tough on all involved.

    I cannot speak highly enough with regards to the care, support, attention and kindness given to my mother and all residents I have seen. This also extends to family and friends. Nothing is too much trouble and all staff, whatever their role, are truly focused on showing the best of human kindness giving exactly what is needed and more! We feel so fortunate that Mum is part of the care home and enables her to live this part of her life as well as she can. Thank you to Hertfordshire Online for finding the home.
