We have an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic Front of House Supervisor to join the team at our award-winning gastropub in Hertfordshire.

As Supervisor, you will assist our General Manager in the running of our venue as if it were your own, bringing positivity to every shift.

This position is naturally guest-focused with good communication skills and attention to detail. Excellent presentation is essential to ensure our guests continue to have memorable experiences. Being approachable, calm, friendly, and maintaining a positive attitude even in times of pressure is essential to the role. We are open 7 days a week and so a degree of flexibility is key. However, we are committed to ensuring none of our team do abnormal hours with the help of flexible rotas.

This position will involve:

• Preparing the weekly rota – ensuring that we minimize costs without compromising on outstanding customer service.
• Co-ordinating the restaurant service in a fast-paced and busy environment, handling reservations and table allocation, and co-ordinating the waiting team's areas & tasks
• Venue Maintenance – Ensuring the ambiance of the venue is as warm, welcoming, tidy and safe as possible, communicating any issues clearly to senior management.
• Problem-solving, with the ability to manage complex situations.
• Stock and Cash Handling, using EPOS, software programs manual systems to accurately manage, record, and report stock, cash and rotas.
• Taking responsibility of security, wastage, profit margins and licensing law when on duty.
